JAZZY FOLK ART

| Bobdreaux Lamoreaux |
I used a 1996 Jazz and Heritage T-shirt to capture the main character. I revised him some from the original so don't put me in jail for copyright infringement. He fit well with my quest. I named him Bobdreaux Lamoreaux from a character in a story I wrote. This year is the 63rd anniversary of my High School class and I decided we all need to take a mystical trip to New Orleans to celebrate. What better place for a class of Massachusetts Yankees to go. We are all transformed back to the days of our youth so we didn't trip over our walkers and other infirmities of age. I added the bayou (Lamoreaux) and items associated with alligator "catchin." On the right, I painted a facsimile of the Fais Do Do stage from the New Orleans fairgrounds. The crowd are my classmates and the band is the Roogalou Bad Boys a non-existent band of renown. It's all fun and only imagination limits the fun. I'm provided the class with a description of the scene complete with Cajun words, menus and definitions in French. Someone in the class will take home the picture from a raffle that helps pay for the reunion. The picture is with the framer and is costing a small fortune. I also want the class to know that my mind still works in mysterious ways. RAS ~ August 2018. September. The picture is now in Massachusetts awaiting the October reunion.
Since this is supposed to be a photography site, I used my Google Pixel 2 XL phone to take the picture.
